12-U Nightmares Return to Action in the USSSA Blue State Championships

The 12-U Nightmares continued their 2016 tournament trail over the weekend of June 25-26, 2016 at the USSSA Blue State Championship in Indiana, PA. The girls battled hard against some fierce competition in games that should help propel them through the remained or the tournament season.
In pool play, the girls went 0-2-1 with some closely contested contests. The team opened with a 7-7 tie against the Pittsburgh Bandits. After that tie, the Nightmares fell 4-1 against the Armstrong Force (Young/Kilgore) and 8-7 to the Warpath. With pool play wrapped up, the girls would have a tough road ahead on knockout day as one of the lower seeds.
On tournament day, the Nightmares could not overcome their positioning and fell 12-0 to eventual tournament champions Central PA Havoc in the first round. The 12-U girls will again be in action July 1-3 in the USSSA Dave Barnhart Memorial Tournament.
