12-U Nightmares Open Tournament Play at the USSSA Indiana (PA) Summer Showcase

This has been a busy few weeks for the Nightmares organization as the two teams have started to get rolling with tournament play. After battling the elements, the 12-U Nightmares finally got their season rolling with a trip to the 2016 USSSA Indiana (PA) Summer Showcase.
In pool play, the girls notched their first victory of the 2016 campaign with a 5-3 victory over Legends Fastpitch. From there the team dropped three games heading into tournament play. In all, the girls fell to Pittsburgh Spirit 12U Premier, Milton Elite 12U, and PA Renegades.
In tournament play, the Nightmares opened with a 6-5 victory against the Pennsylvania Cardinals. From there, the tournament ended before their match-up with the eventual crowned champions Passion Softball 12U - Burns due to the miserable weather that has plagued the region for the past few weeks.
Next up for the 12-U Nightmares is the 2016 Junebug in Oakdale, PA.
